I have been teaching physiological- and pharmacological-based courses at UC Merced since Fall 2020, bringing real-world experiences into the classroom setting.
I was an ambulatory pharmacist for over 20 years with expertise in the following:
- Illicit and prescription drug mechanisms of action
- Identifying drug abuse risk factors
- Cessation methods
- Physiological and psychological effects of nicotine
- Community engagement in vaccine adherence and administration
- Safeguards against opioid overdose and abuse
- Promoting public awareness of the dangers of illicit and prescriptions drugs
- Improving patient outcomes through:
