Akansha Singh

Hello, my name is Akansha Singh and I am a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Biology. I joined Dr.Saha's lab to further my knowledge on neurobiology and to learn more about neurons depolarizing. In my free time, I like to travel, watch movies with my roommates, and I like to go to the gym...

Madhushree Mukherjee

Hey guys! I am Madhusree Mukherjee , a 3rd year undergraduate student majoring in biological sciences, with an emphasis in molecular and cellular biology. My purpose of joining the Saha Lab is to gain hands-on experience and apply my knowledge to real-world research applications under such great...

Abstract Selected For Oral Presentation

Woo-hoo! Our abstract, titled " The nBAF (mSWI/SNF) Complex Regulates Activity-induced Neuronal Gene Transcription by Facilitating RNA Polymerase II Elongation", was accepted for oral presentation at the Gene Regulation Keystone meeting. Congratulations to Karen (the lead) and the entire team...

2021-2022 Senate Research Award

Ramen was awarded the 2021-2022 UC Merced Senate Research Award to study BAF complex functions in neurons using novel inhibitors.

Ramen Saha

As the principal investigator of our laboratory, I get to wear several hats: a scientist, a teacher, a manager, an accountant, an administrator etc. My favorite role though is being the 'truth seeker', where I get to pursue enigmatic neurobiological processes with my hardworking research team. I am also dad to an equally curious 12 year old who keeps me on my toes.

Ramen's promotion to Associate Professorship

Ramen is now an Associate Professor (with tenure). Thanks and gratitude to every Saha lab member –past and present– for their hard work and contribution towards this success.
