Rebeca Arevalo

Rebeca Arevalo was born in Spain in 1988. After completing her B. S. in Chemistry at the University of Oviedo (Spain), she earned an M. S. in Chemistry and Sustainability and received an FPU fellowship for graduate studies. During her Ph. D. she studied nucleophilic additions on bipy and phen ligands in rhenium tricarbonyl complexes under the supervision of Prof. Julio Perez. She earned her Ph. D. from the University of Oviedo in 2017 and moved to Princeton University to conduct postdoctoral research on cobalt-catalyzed C-H borylation with Prof. Paul J. Chirik. She is currently working at Princeton University as a Clarin-Curie postdoctoral research fellow. Her main interests lie on fundamental chemistry that aims to understand and rationally improve applied processes on the fields of catalysis and coordination and organometallic chemistry.
