Melissa Conn

MS Student

Originally from Reno, Nevada, I received my BS in Environmental Science. Both my studies and fieldwork have emphasized aquatic ecology, limnology and stream/fish habitat monitoring. I moved to San Francisco for a few years and worked for an environmental consulting firm and decided to apply to UC Merced for a MS in Environmental Systems. Having always had an interest in environmental chemistry, this became my chance to pivot back to my interest in limnology and to study trophic mercury bio-accumulation. I’m looking forward to working for local government or a consulting firm studying water quality in reservoirs in California.
