July Update: The McCloskey Lab has been awarded a grant from the Cancer Reserach Coordinating Committee (CRCC) to build an "Integrated Model of Cancer, Vasculature, and Immune System".

April Update: Jessalyn Arteta recently presented her research at the NSF-CREST funded end-of-year CCBM symposium. Not only did she do a fantastic job, but was also recognized as a top presenter and was awarded a $50 gift card. Way to go Jessalyn!!!

March Update: Dr. Kara McCloskey has been inducted as a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical nad Biological Engineering (AIMBE).

January Update: QSB Graduate Student, Maria Mendoza, has been awardIntegrated Model of Cancer, Vasculature, and Immune Systemed the GEM fellowship. As a results she will be spending the summer at Genentech. Congratulations Maria!!

AIMBE Fellow

The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) has elected founding faculty member Professor Kara McCloskey into its College of Fellows for outstanding contributions to biomaterials for cell and tissue engineering, and meritorious commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. She is the first faculty member from UC Merced to earn this honor.
