Healthy Kids | Niños Sanos. This project explored the feasibility of implementing an educational intervention in medical settings to improve feeding practices of EFNEP parents of children at risk of obesity. Dr. Díaz Rios explored the relevance of an educational component consisting of story-telling and emotion-based messages. She also lead the cross-cultural adaptation of the tools used to evaluate the intervention.

Healthy Beverages in Childcare. This project developed and tested an online training to help overcome barriers to create a healthy beverage environment in childcare settings, and be in compliance with the California’s Healthy Beverages in Childcare Act (AB 2084). Dr. Díaz Rios was involved in the development and linguistic adaptation of materials and evaluation tools.
