About

Professional: I got my undergraduate and master's degrees in Aerospace Engineering from National Cheng-Kung University in Taiwan. In my master's work, I designed, fabricated, and tested a 10-lbf altitude control mono-propellant thruster for a satellite. In 1999, I went to Penn State University to start my doctoral research, where I worked on a passive two-phase heat transfer device called a loop heat pipe in the Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering. I applied Neutron Radiography as a visualization tool to help my experimental and modeling work. I started my fuel cell research as a postdoc in 2004 at Penn State University, where I applied Neutron Radiography to study water-management related issues. I joined the Fuel Cell Research Laboratory at General Motors in early 2005 and have been working on fuel cell research since then.
