Had a great time visiting UVA, and giving a seminar for the the Division of Infectious Disease & International Health.

Undergraduate researchers Neel Kaushik and Sahil Malhi were bestowed SNS Outstanding Student awards. Of the graduating seniors this Spring 2024, only 3 Biology major students were given this award for their scholastic and extracurricular achievements! Great job!

Amazing conference featuring South America's best and brightest parasitologists. Honored to be an invited speaker for this meeting, and enjoyed meeting everyone.

It was a great 3 years with Ferdinand, who discovered fundamental things for the Jensen lab about the GPI anchor that will be published in years to come! Good luck with your growing family in the UK!

Excited to share that we recently received an R21 (R21AI176186) from the NIH to explore novel concepts in mRNA vaccines for Toxoplasma gondii. This is in collaboration with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories (LLNL) nanoparticle vaccine group headed by Dr. Nick Fischer and Dr. Amy Rasley.

It was a privilege to see FIOCRUZ and give a seminar there. In the background, is the historical first building commissioned by Oswald Cruz, co-discoverer with Carlos Chagas, of T. cruzi. FIOCRUZ is Brazil's NIH equivalent, but also performs clinics, vaccine and drug production and outreach. Really...
