Undergraduate researchers Neel Kaushik and Sahil Malhi were bestowed SNS Outstanding Student awards. Of the graduating seniors this Spring 2024, only 3 Biology major students were given this award for their scholastic and extracurricular achievements! Great job!

Neel performed editing Toxoplasma genes and infecting wild-derived mice as he studied host-pathogen interactions. Neel is aiming for a future career in medicine.

Arlon worked on immune parameters discovered from the collaborative cross that may lead to better understanding of protective vaccines for parasites. Yes, this is the second Wizzard that has graced our lab and we love it!
