Our paper titled, 'Mild membrane depolarization in neurons induces immediate early gene transcription and acutely subdues responses to successive stimulus' is now published in JBC. In this paper we show how neurons react in the aftermath of milf depolarization. This study was initiated in 2019 by Kira R., the then post-doctoral fellow in the lab, and was revised and finished during the ongoing pandemic by a group of committed lab members (Josh S., Morgan S., and Sorina M., who are all authors) and some extraordinary support from our collaborators (Ezequiel M. and Stan T.), who helped us with calcium imaging.
