Our recent fact sheet, published by the UC Merced Community and Labor Center shows that South Fresno residents experience high rates of health issues and air and noise pollution, and express strong support for public interventions to mitigate environmental issues. Findings of this fact sheet is part of an ongoing health impact assessment to investigate how air pollution impact the health of residents in Fresno CA. The study is expected to inform the ongoing South Fresno Truck Reroute study, which aims to identify, analyze, and evaluate potential strategies that freight-impacted communities might implement, in cooperation with the City, to abate truck impacts.
