Mike Cleary, Ph.D. Mike is a Professor in the Molecular and Cell Biology Department at UC Merced. He joined the UCM faculty in 2007. In a previous life, the Cleary lab studied nervous system development and RNA biology using Drosophila as a model organism - Cleary Lab Drosophila and RNA publications
Undergraduate Researchers. Our work is mostly powered by undergraduate researchers. The current team is: Audrey Pettengill, Kendyl Thitathan, Rachel Stender, and Carolyn Kuo.
Collaborations. We work with Professor Gordon Bennett in the Life and Environmental Science Department and Professor Gerardo Diaz in the School of Engineering. Ryan Torres, a graduate student in the Bennett lab, is currently working on the BSF project.
