Taylor’s research interests include Innovation Theory and Practice, Organizational Behavior, Workplace Power Dynamics, Diversity, Women in Technology, Paradox Theory, Gender. She earned her PhD in Management of Complex Systems (MIST) in August 2024 from the University of
California, Merced; holds a MM in Management, Innovation, Sustainability and Technology, August 2019 from the University of California, Merced; and a BA in Political Science and Social Work, May 2015, from University of California, Berkeley. She is particularly interested in mechanisms of empowerment and belonging for historically underrepresented groups in STEM fields, particularly women and children of color. She notes, "I think that social and interpersonal wellness is a key aspect of health and several variables I work with, such as self-efficacy and autonomy, are essential to the health sciences and are key determinants of health. I intend my dissertation to look at inclusion and empowering practices over the STEM pipeline (youth programs to university major choice, to professional contexts)."
