Dr. Ahmed Elkamshishy got his Ph.D. at Purdue University working with Chris Greene. He will be working with Christine and Professor Harish Bhat in Applied Math to develop models for incorporating memory into electron density propagation, mapping time-dependent wavefunction methods to real-time density functional theory.
Dr. Chamikara Karunasena got his Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky working with Chad Risko, then went on to do a post-doc with Jean-Luc Bredas. He is experienced in classical molecular dynamics with enhanced sampling techniques, quantum chemical calculations, and both theoretical and experimental X-ray spectroscopic techniques. He will be working with Christine and Professor Liang Shi to develop models for the electro-optic properties of chromophore-surface assemblies.
