Post-doctoral Scholar
Ahmed is a theoretical and computational physicist currently working with Christine and Professor Harish Bhat (Applied Math) on electron quantum dynamics, with a focus on reduced density matrix methods and optimization tools. He earned his doctorate in Physics from Purdue University in 2024, under the supervision of Prof. Chris Greene, with a background in ultracold physics. Ahmed’s research aims to develop minimal theoretical models to understand complex systems, ranging from atomic collisions to electronic structure theory and non-equilibrium dynamics.
