Research Interest
Tobias Zier's research focuses on modelling the ultrafast structural response of solids after an ultrashort (femtosecond) laser pulse excitation. He combines the benefits of TDDFT (Octopus) and Te dependent DFT (CHIVES) to simulate the electron dynamics of the laser-induced highly non-equilibrium and their influence on the atomic system.
